STATION PROFILE

Truly, the music and news authority in the Crown City of the South, 95.7 Brigada News FM-Koronadal came to life on February 18, 2013, with a 5-kilowatt transmitter. It is the first and only FM radio station in Koronadal City that broadcasts an AM and FM format, an innovation mixing AM’s news and public affairs and FM’s traditional music programming. It operates 24/7.

Known for fearless, but, fair and factual commentaries by its news anchors, the station easily gained wide listenership and popularity because of their distinct style and creativity in presenting news and issues.

“Brigada” became a by-word and a favorite among radio listeners as revealed in the 2015 KBP-Kantar Media Survey Result with 95.7 Brigada News FM Koronadaltaking the top spot asthe Over-all Number 1 Radio Station in Koronadal and in the province of South Cotabato.

As such, it dislodged, in an exclamatory manner,a 20-year consistent overall top-rater when 95.7 Brigada News FM Koronada lposted a high 7.085% rating percentage over Bombo Radyo Koronadal’s 0.95%.

DEMOGRAPHY AREA:

Koronadal, officially the City of Koronadal and popularly known as Marbel, is a 3rd class component city in the Philippines. It is the capital of the province of South Cotabato and regional center of SOCCSKSARGEN. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 158,273 as of 2010 census.
Koronadal became a component city of South Cotabato by virtue of Republic Act 8803 dated October 8, 2000.

CLASSIFICATION OF POPULATION:

Koronadal is one of the cities in Mindanao whose citizens are Hiligaynon speakers. About 90% of the city’s population is from the Hiligaynon ethnic group in the Visayas. Most of Koronadaleños are class B and C.
