Inaprubahan ng House Committee on Justice ang committee report at resolusyon na nagbabasura sa impeachment complaint na inihain laban kay Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen.
Sa panel meeting, 20 mambabatas ang bumotong yes para aprubahan ang committee report at ang resolusyon.
Noong nakaraang linggo, ibinasura ng justice panel ang impeachment complaint laban kay Leonen matapos na lumabas na insufficient ito in form.
40 mga mambabatas ang bumotong yes para i-dismiss ang complaint habang dalawang iba pa ang nag-inhibit.
Iginiit ng mga mambabatas na ang alegasyong nakasaad sa reklamo ay batay lamang sa mga newspaper reports at columns, at hindi personal knowledge at authentic records dahilan para ikunsidera itong pure hearsay.
Mababatid na inihain ni Edwin Cordevilla, secretary-general ng Filipino League of Advocates For Good Government ang reklamo noong December 7, 2020 at inendorso ni Ilocos Norte Representative Angelo Marcos Barba.
