Magtatayo ng panibagong energy source sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Sinaksihan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang paglagda ng Intergovernmental Energy Board (IEB) Circular para sa paggawad ng petroleum service at coal operating contracts sa BARMM.
Inaasahan itong magbibigay-daan sa pagpapatayo at eksplorasyon ng panibagong pagkukunan ng enerhiya ng bansa.
Magtutulungan ang Department of Energy at Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy sa pagpapatupad ng naturang joint circular.
“By harnessing the enormous energy potential within BARMM, we will reduce our reliance on external sources, mitigate the detrimental impacts of price fluctuations, and build a solid foundation for our country’s energy security,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.
Tiniyak din ng pangulo na sasamantalahin ang anumang developmental opportunity na mas makapagpapalakas pa sa rehiyon at makapagpapabuti sa kalidad ng pamumuhay ng mga residente doon.
“This collaborative endeavor stands as an unwavering testament to our firm commitment to unity and unwavering cooperation with BARMM as we unlock the vast and untapped potential of the region,” dagdag ng pangulo.
Ayon sa pangulo, ang inaprubahang guidelines ay inaasahang makapagpo-promote ng economic growth, at makalilikha ng trabaho.
Sa ilalim ng Bangsamoro Organic Law, pinapayagan ang National at ang Bangsamoro government para sa exploration, development, at utilization ng uranium at fossil fuels sa BARMM.
