KORONADAL CITY- ITINALAGA bilang Interim Chairman ng Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines o ULAP si South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo sa isinagawang 97th National Executive Board Meeting noong Setyembre 1.
Ang ULAP ay ang umbrella organization ng lahat ng mga liga ng mga local government units at mga locally elected government officials sa bansa.
Kabilang sa mga primary member nito ang League of Provinces of the Philippines, League of Cities of the Philippines, League of Municipalities of the Philippines, Liga ng mga Barangay, League of Vice Governors of the Philippines, Vice Mayors League of the Philippines, Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines, Philippine Councilors League, Lady Local Legislators’ League at National Movement of Young Legislators.
Si Governor Tamayo ay unang nahalal bilang Presidente ng League of Provinces of the Philippines, at ito rin ang tumatayaong National President ng Partido Federal ng Pilipinas o PFP, ang political party ni Presidente Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr.
Sa kabila ng kanyang hinahawakan na mga national positions, pinasiguro ng gobernador na prayoridad pa rin nito ang South Cotabato.
Ayon kay Tamayo na ang pagkakatalaga sa kanya sa mga national positions ay makatutulong sa lalawiagn sa mabilis na pag-access sa mga programa at proyekto ng mga national government agencies.
